The Intelligent Video Server PC/104 Card is a multimedia platform specifically targeted for the Cisco 3200® Series Wireless and Mobile Router(s). The IVS is ideal for CCTV and surveillance security systems, in addition to other streaming video applications.

The IVS is a PC/104 Plus card designed for low power, rugged, mobile and stationary applications. The TI DM642 DSP processor allows the IVS to deliver MPEG4 compressed video stream at 4 CIF resolution 704x480 pixels, at up to 30 fps on one channel. Video is streamed over the onboard Ethernet interface using industry standard RTP/RTSP, and the IVS supports audio and video output for applications such as intercom and video decoding. The DSP processor provides an intelligent means for efficient, at the edge, adaptive bandwidth control.

The IVS utilizes video analytic software from ObjectVideo, allowing it to detect and classify such objects as people, unwanted activity and vehicles, based on user defined rules. Backend server architecture provides an easy to use graphical management interface to rapidly control rules and alerts.

The IVS utilizes ObjectVideo OnBoard to enable truly intelligent video. The device proactively analyzes video, and produces alerts and other actionable information on the basis of user defined rules and is accessible anywhere on the IP network. Included with the IVS is the ObjectVideo Server and Client applications necessary to configure rules and alerts for surveillance activities over the IP infrastructure.

Optional thermal plates are available for installation into the Cisco 3200 Series Rugged Chassis. Western DataCom has also created a custom end-cap that maintains the current NEMA4 and MIL STD 810F certifications.

The integrated solution above includes a Cisco 3230 Mobile router with 2 Wireless Mobile Interface cards and the IVS 104. WMIC cards are selectable between 2.4GHz, 5.0GHz and the public safety frequency of 4.9GHz. The current hardware platform provides for 2 video inputs and 1 video output. The circular 38999 MIL style connectors provide connectivity to the audio in and out and the serial interface for PTZ control.

The IVS is now available in a pole mount enclosure, the ComCase P, for outdoor surveilence applications. The 14-slot enclosure incorporates and optional AC power supply for direct power from the pole. In addition, a DVR option is available providing video recording for up to 80-hours on event based alarms.
